“I am hoping Childs is here to stay. He adds a flavor to the underground, The Neighborhood has not seen since Los Rakas, who has soared to relative fame. But more than anything, he adds excitement to the world of indie music, throwing further turmoil into a chaotic, talent-filled pool of artists, one of whom…. is destined to become a superstar.” – Underground Hip Hop Artists – Childs – Shifts Spotlight to Miami, March 2014

Gillian Welch & Dave Rawlings may be the only recording artists taking part in the Season Premiere, whom The Neighborhood has not officially met, but their undeniably original sound, the passion that flows through each word of mesmerizing voices, and their position of hierarchy in the underground, grant them honorary residency and an open invitation to stop through any time, to share their powerful gifts and, perhaps collaborate on a show or two.

Swift Slay
a World Premiere
Nino Brown is new in town, but Swift Slay is well known in The Neighborhood, making his debut in Naked with a song of the same name. But it was the smooth performance of Slay and Sarogini Musix at the 2014 Thepublicblogger Awards, where he gained notice. And if there is an early threat to knocking the 2014 title holder Detroit’s Hussle Crowe off his throne, Swift Slay & Nino Brown with Spend It On You have just broken ground.
From the recently released album This What They Want, and in a The Neighborhood World Premiere, here is Swift Slay & Nino Brown with

*****
Welcome to the Premiere of Season IV. We are so glad you made it. I would like to extend my gratitude to each of the collaborating artists for your belief, your imagination and your dedicated work in assuring March 1, 2015 – Opening Day in The Neighborhood – would be a memorable occasion.
A very special thank you to our WordPress neighbors, as well as, my friends in Facebook & Twitter and other communities, for merging our neighborhoods together. And to our visiting artists and first time guests:
Welcome to The Neighborhood, please make yourself at home. After all, it belongs to you.
We have so many plans for the season on hand and we hope, that our loyal neighbors and those who enjoy the shows, will visit “The Neighborhood Touches Most Everyone” or click on the books & song on the right or the donation button at the bottom of every stage, and demonstrate your support.
Your contribution will help assure our goals – of reaching more artists, producing short films and inspirational songs, and to continue delivering inspirational prose, thought-provoking editorials, breathtaking fiction, while never forgetting the reason why you come, and never changing our scope, from peace, inspiration, big thoughts, and performances, that can be found absolutely nowhere else. With my unbending dedication, and the brilliant collaborations of the multitude of artists that are currently knocking or have passed through,or that have never left or those who have come back, and by living inside our RAW imagination, yet never abandoning our quest for peace {Season III} – we can achieve remarkable things – but not without your help.
But for now, sit back, relax and let us entertain you, and between performances, like now, wander through the existing collection and discover the story of us.
@ 9:30 am PST/12:30 pm EST The Kick-Off Party gets it started, and that is only the beginning.
