Comedy is acting out optimism

Viewing short films from young directors with zero to minor budgets, takes a different mindset, when we are accustomed to only the Hollywood blockbuster. But Teardrops, from director Casey Alexander puts an extra foot forward. Sure, the acting may be bland to over-the-top, but his comedic edge is there for the taking, if we just sit back and allow ourselves to laugh.

I remember that moment, when you walked in to the room

I remember a feeling washing over I had never felt before

I remember my heart stopping as looked at you

And you smiled

That was all I needed, all I would ever need

Your smile started my heart

Your smile washed away the world

Your smile took one step closer to forever
